Singapore-Mauritius Immersion Program 2010

Hey Queenstownians! The Sports Leaders, CCA leaders and Prefects are going over to mauritius for a sports and cultural exchange programme! We will be there 10-17 March 2010 - that's tomorrow! While we are there, we'll be visiting our YOG twinning school, St Marie College.

The 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games is the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, a major international sports and cultural festival to be celebrated in the tradition of the Summer Olympic Games from August 14 to August 26, 2010, during the XXIX Olympiad. The Games will be held in Singapore at the Youth Olympic Village on the Nanyang Technological University campus.

2. ACES DAY Dance Competition

Judging Criteria:

1. Choreography (20%)
dance patterns, level of difficulty of stunts

2. Techniques (20%)
rhythm, clarity, entertaining

3. Costumes (20%)
shows multi-culture, multi-sport, relevance to the theme of YOG

4. Precision (20%)
unity, coordination, timing, spacing

5. Bonus (20%):
synopsis of how the dance fits the YOG theme;
teacher involvement in the dance
